Brecht Cops has been a lawyer specialising in social law since 2001.
He advises Belgian and multinational companies as well as executives, both in connection with court proceedings and in other contexts. He deals with current aspects of individual and collective employment law.
He has carried out company restructurings on a number of occasions and regularly assists companies and (foreign) law firms in the framework of corporate transactions.
He regularly speaks before the CRECCB (Royal Chamber of Chartered Accountants and Accountants in Belgium) and COMEOS, and is trainer at Kluwer. He is a member of ABA (American Bar Association), EELA (European Employment Lawyers Association) and VSR (Vereniging Sociaal Recht).
Brecht has a licentiate in law from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL, 2000) and holds an additional licentiate in social law from the University of Brussels (ULB, 2001).
